Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. She is
the middle of two brothers, the older one, Natasha Chalke, one younger, Piper
Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut with City Boy (1992), an original
television film. After her debut film was a success, Sarah auditioned for the
role "Becky" from Roseanne (1988). The show was looking for a
replacement for Alicia Goranson, who left the show to pursue university. Sarah
graduated from high school in 1995, and was involved in the making of Roseanne
(1988) from 1994 to 1995. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest
Goes to School (1994). In 1996, she appeared in two movies, including Robin of
Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996) where she played a
cheerleadernamed "Krista Wilson". Sarah was asked to play in the 1998
show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. This happened one year following Roseanne
(1988). Based on Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998), the show also had a
basis. The role was taken over by Becky on Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson
in 1993. It was stated that she would like to quit acting and pursue a degree
in. [2001] (1993-1997) She played Sara Gilbert's older sibling on Roseanne
(1988) However she's actually younger. She was a part of the 1999 CCMA Award
Ceremony, where she received an award for the most successful single of 1999.
[September 1999] Appeared in local Vancouver stage productions, starting at age
8. Fluent in French, German and Spanish. She volunteers at a hospice where
children with terminal illnesses are treated . She also volunteers with the
Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke is a cook who enjoys eating with friends
(especially Thai or sushi) as well as play guitar, climb, ski (she's an instructor),
and kayaking. Her father is a lawyer and her parents are mediators. They also
operate an agency for the adoption of children. Two years ago she traveled with
her parents to China for the purpose of coordinating the adoption of several
orphans in China.
