Piper Perabo
Piper Perabo was nominated for the
Golden Globes in the category of stage, television, and film actor. She was
born in Dallas, Texas and raised in New Jersey. In 2000 she was cast in the
role of a breakout character in Coyote Ugly. Since then she has been in movies
such as Christopher Nolan's "The Prestige" with Hugh Jackman and
Christian Bale, "Because I Said So" with Diane Keaton and "First
Snow" featuring Guy Pearce, "Cheaper by the Dozen" films
starring Steve Martin, "Imagine Me &"Imagine Me & You"
with Lena Heady and Matthew Goode and the crime thriller "10th Wolf"
featuring an ensemble cast including James Marsden and Dennis Hopper. Perabo
was in the film alongside Bruce Willis (with Joseph Gordon Levitt), Emily Blunt
as well as Jeff Daniels in Rian John's sci-fi action film "Looper".
Perabo was Annie Walker's television part in five seasons on the spy drama on
USA Network "Covert Affairs." Then she starred as a co-star in ABC's
legal drama "Notorious. Her next appearance is on Netflix as "Turn Up
Charlie" in which she is starring alongside IdrisElba. She also made her
Broadway debut in Neil LaBute's controversial stage play "Reasons to be
Pretty" that was nominated for the Tony for Best Play. Perabo is also an
activist, in addition to her work on stage and screen. Perabo is an active
Voice for the International Rescue Committee in raising awareness of the
refugee crisis across the world and helping those who are impacted by religious
persecution or conflict, as well as oppression by the state. Piper lives in Los
Angeles, New York City. In 1994, the Toms River High School North class
graduated Piper. She was in every one of the annual musicals in high school.
Her senior year, she was Katie in "Meet Me In St. Louis;" junior
year, Cousin Fan in "Mame;" sophomore year, Lady Brighton in "Me
and My Girl"" as well as freshman year, she danced in "How to be
Successful in business Without Really Trying." She was also the high
school president of the National Honor Society as well as the editor of the
literary journal of the school, Polaris. She was also an Marinerettes dancer
during high school football games.
