Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer is one of Israel's most
popular actresses. She was born in Tel Aviv, and first caught the attention of
Hollywood when she was enlisted by Steven Spielberg in her first
English-speaking part, playing Eric Bana's wife in the Oscar(r) nominated film
Munich (2005). Zurer has appeared in several Studio films since her arrival in
America, such as Sony Pictures' Vantage Point which starred William Hurt and
Dennis Quaid, Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Parts with Stephen Dillane, Paul
Schrader’s Adam Resurrected alongside Jeff Goldblum, and Willem Dafoe. Ron
Howard's Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks. Darling Companion is a Lawrence
Kasdan ensemble cast that includes Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline. Warner Bros.
Man Of Steel alongside Russell Crow. The actress filmed Rodrigo Garcia, Last
days in the desert opposite Ewan McGregor and is waiting for the release of her
film The Last Knights by the Japanese director Kazuaki Kiriya in the role of
Clive Owen. Recently, she won the Gold Nymph Award for Outstanding actor in a
Drama Series at the 54th Festival of TV of Monte-Carlo for her role in the TV
show "Hostages". Ayelet has been awarded an Israeli Film And
Television Academy Award for her performance as Nina in the Tragedies. She was
nominated to be a part of the Academy Awards for her performance in the films
Only Dogs Run Free (from the Holy Apple Field), Desperado, Rutenberg, and The
Dybuk from Holy Apple Field. She won the Haifa International Film Festival
critic award, and was also awarded an honorary star on Haifa's "film
boulevard" for her international and regional accomplishments. Zurer won
the Israeli Television Academy Award, for her role in "In Treatment"
the critically well-reviewed series of television which was later adapted for
American television by HBO. She was also nominated in the category of
appropriateness in 2014's best drama "Shtisel" as well as received
the award for most outstanding actress for drama for her portrayal as a
brilliant surgeon facing an existential dilemma in Hostages. The show was
licensed to BBC4 & Canal Plus and the American ABC. Golbary is among
Israel's top fashion brands for women. She is the "face" of Golbary.
She is a producer as well as a writer. Ayelet is currently working on a couple
of projects in Israel and in the USA. She expressed interest in international
collaboration with directors from around the world and is a believer in joining
the ranks of unknown writers/directors.
