Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was the younger daughter
of media mogul, producer, musician Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. She
has an older sister, Kidada Jones, as well as five half-siblings through the
various relationships between her father and his other partners. Her father is
African American, and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant from
emigrants to Russia and Latvia). Rashida was raised Reform Judaism. She was
born in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Jones said that her mixed-race
parents were not accepted by society until the 1970s. Jones began her debut as
a professional actor in The Last Don in 1997 A mini-series that was inspired by
Mario Puzo. In 1997, Rashida graduated from Harvard University. Took a course
at the Buckley School, Sherman Oaks, California. Voted the Most Likely
Sufferer. The name she uses is Arabic (O+-O'UO-O(c)) to mean "Major,
adult, grown-up and wise". People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People.

sister's wedding ring bearer and also singer for a Tupac Shakur tribute track.
Rashida and Kidada's brother Quincy Jones III produced the track, while their
father, Quincy Jones, made appearances, singing the lines of Shakur's poem
"Starry Night" during the introduction. The poem inspired the song's
title. Rashida's father was African-American as well as having smaller amounts
of English, Scottish, and Welsh, and Welsh ancestry (some of his African family
members were descendants of the Tikar people of Cameroon). Rashida is Ashkenazi
Jewish, of Russian Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent. Her paternal grandparents
were from South Carolina and Mississippi, respectively. Her maternal
grandfather was born in New York, and her maternal grandmother was born in
Dublin, Ireland, of Eastern European Jewish origin. In the year 2009, she had
played three different characters with "Karen", on the iconic sitcoms
on TV: Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
