Los Angeles, California in 1970. Following the birth of her daughter, her
parents moved to Dallas, Texas. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High
School of the Performing and Visual Arts in downtown Dallas. Later, she earned
an BFA diploma in acting at Stephens College and also studied at the British
American Drama Academy. Additionally, she spent six years working at the highly
regarded Dallas Theatre Center and one year with that theater's Encore Company.
Before she made her screen debut, she began her acting career in the theater.
Her stage credits include "As You Like It""A Funny Then It
Happened on the Road to the Forum", "Measure for Measure", and
"Chicago" along with as numerous other productions. She was a
standout in Michael Cristofer’s HBO Telefilm Gia (1998) in which she was
opposite Angelina Jolie. This performance earned her the respect of viewers and
critics alike. Elizabeth showed off her charismatic acting abilities in the
film Frequency (2001 with Dennis Quaid) and Neil LaBute's scifi time travel
drama Nurse Betty ((2000) with Rene Zellweger). Elizabeth Mitchell is an actor
who has a long list of credits, including films, television series and
theatres. In the course of filming Frequency ((2000)), she broke her nose. In
1994, did Hertz Rent-A-Car commercial but "they took it down because of
the O.J. thing." In 1995, I lived with her boyfriend David Lee Smith (ex-Brent
on the soap One Life to Live (1968)) on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Their
parents are real estate agents from Dallas and tax lawyers with their own firm.
It is located only 5 blocks away from their Dallas home. Returned to the U.S.
from Europe after long-running as Rosalind in a production of the theater
"As As You Like It". Her parents moved to Dallas, Texas shortly after
she was born in LA in the year 1970. In 1991, she graduated from Booker T.
Washington High School, Visual and Performing Arts, located within the Arts
District of Dallas. The school graduated Stephens College in 1991 with the Fine
Arts Degree. It was the last quarter of 2001 starring opposite Ioan Gruffudd in
the role of Cyd in Man and Boy (2002) which aired in March 2002 on BBC 1 TV
