Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow, born December 18th, 1979. She is well-known for her role as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara the Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. She was also the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played an unimportant role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18th, 1979. She grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. She began her acting career at Stanton College Preparatory School, Jacksonville in the year she was in school. In 2001, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and later pursued an MFA in Acting from the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.Swallow started her professional career on Broadway theatre, where she performed in diverse productions, such as High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world premiere of off-Broadway shows Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. The show was the world premieres of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also played opposite Mark Rylance in Louis JenkinsThe play Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. [citation needed] In 2010, she won the Falstaff Award as best female actor for her performance in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed alongside Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical romance Poetry at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The show focuses on the comic misadventures of the duo as they navigate very different situations with different degrees of sanity and decency.
