Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12, 1972) is an American actress from the United States. She is most well-known for her role as attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), for which she is two-time winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress for Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She was also on the NBC show Whitney (2011–2013), ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash 2011-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12, 1972. Her mother was an executive secretary of the United States Navy, her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service. The family was based in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her childhood. Following in the footsteps of her grandmother and father and mother, she was a student of drawing, painting and building from the age of a child. While she was a lover of all of the arts in her life, she discovered a passion for acting. In college she was exposed to contemporary theater. She earned her degree from George Mason University in 1994 with a BA in Studio Art. Seehorn began her college career as an actor, and was encouraged by her acting teacher. To make her stand out she was employed in other roles in D.C.'s theatre industry. She ended up getting some significant roles in local theater productions However, she still had for odd jobs in order to pay the bills; she took roles in a variety of short industrial instructional films. In the next few years, she was able to land roles on television productions. Her roles were often that were "very humorous and funny" as her idol Bea Arthur. However, most of her roles were short-run series that ended after just one or two seasons. Seehorn was cast in Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler, a lawyer and the love-interest of the title Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
