Riley Keough
American actor
Danielle Riley Keough. She was born in Santa Monica (California) to the rock
stars Lisa Marie Presley & Danny Keough and is the grandchild of
actress Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised by her
father in Hawaii, Los Angeles and spent some time with her mother in
California. Keough began modeling when she was 15. Her appearances at Dolce
& Gabbana fashion shows and Christian Dior's cover shoots were one of
her many highlights. At the age of 20, Keough was cast in an supporting role in
The Runaways (2010) as Marie Currie. In the following years, she was a part of
the independent thriller film The Good Doctor (2011) and the horror film Jack
& Diane (2012) after which she was assigned a minor role in Steven
Soderbergh's comedy Magic Mike (2012). In 2012, Keough appeared in Yellow and
Kiss of the Damned. In the following year, she was in the action movie Mad Max:
Fury Road (2015). It was the fourth film in the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough
had her breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of
the anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by
Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film of the same name. The character received
praise from critics and she was also nominated for an award called the Golden
Globe Award for Best Performance by an actress in a limited motion film or
series that was made for television. The following performance of Keough as a
young, brash female in the drama American Honey (2017) earned her further
acclaim as well as an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting
Female. The following year, Keough was in the apocalyptic horror film It Comes
at Night (2017) and was reunited with Soderbergh to appear in his heist film,
Logan Lucky. This was followed by roles in a variety of horror and thriller
films in 2018, such as Lars von Trier’s The House That Jack Built and the
neonoir Under the Silver Lake. Keough was the lead character in The Lodge, a
psychological horror movie. Zola is Keough's comedy-drama sequel. Keough is
playing the role of Sandy Harrison in Netflix's 2020 release of The Devil All
the Time.
